SRCC celebrated Independence Day on 12th August, 2022 by hoisting our National Flag at the hands of Mrs. Jyoti Doshi, Hon. Gen. Secretary & Mrs. Neha Mehta, Hon. Jt. Secretary in presence of all the employees along with the differently abled children seeking therapies at the Centre. The National Anthem was sung followed by March Past and Drill by the children seeking Special Education Therapy at the Centre.
On the occasion of 75th year of Independence, SRCC Centre’s CASE Special Education Therapy Department celebrated its Project Day on the theme “Incredible India” wherein the children showcased India’s contribution in various fields. The children dressed up in famous personalities’ attire whose contribution to the Nation over the years has left a lasting mark. Patriotic songs, “Hei Mohijo Watan” & “Jahan Daal Daaal Par” were sung. India resembles Unity with diversity through its culture of Tribal Art, Folk Tales, Festivals and variety of food of all religions. Areas like Ayurveda, Yoga, chess, mathematical contributions with number zero, space research through Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and various World Heritage sites culminates into making India what it is today. Each of these areas were highlighted through models, charts and presentations made by the children enacting & displaying preparations of various ayurvedic remedies and delicacies of food items. The experiential learning helped to bring out the best from children and to take the feeling of patriotism to another level! The Project Day was celebrated with a great enthusiasm to remember the sacrifices of our martyrs & their struggle to provide us freedom. The celebration ended by forming a splendid pyramid and performing lezim, a form of folk dance from Maharashtra state.
