The SRCC Centre for Child Development, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Lonavala organized a Free of Cost Comprehensive Paediatric Check-up Camp in Lonavala. Around 45 children with different disabilities attended the camp. Dr Shiwangee Purandare (Director SRCC Rehab) along with 7 therapists one from each dept. – Educational Therapy (ET), Clinical Psychology (CPsy), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy (ST), Physio Therapy (PT) & Vision Therapy (VT) department & two professionals from prosthetic & orthotic department along with Dr Jaideep Dhamale (Pediatric Orthopedics) from SRCC Children’s Hospital & one admin assistant from SRCC Rehabilitation Dept. attended the camp. The team assessed patients and provided consultation on various conditions like Gait Abnormalities, Limb Deformities, Muscular dystrophy, Bone fractures, Cerebral palsy (CP), Spinal Deformities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Epileptic seizures, Tic disorder, Dyslexia, Syndromic disorders free of cost. Handouts of home program were given to the parents.
