CEREBRAL PALSY AWARENESS DAY CELEBRATION, 2024

Date: October 3, 2024
Venue: SRCC Centre for Child Development

The SRCC Centre for Child Development celebrated Cerebral Palsy Day on 3rd October 2024 in memory of Late Dr. Perin K. Mullaferoze, a pioneering force in Indian orthopaedic surgery. SRCC’s Children’s Orthopaedic Hospital (COH), established in 1950, popularly known as the Polio Hospital was recognised in India and internationally largely because of the dedication and expertise of Dr. Mullaferoze. We were honoured to welcome Shri Satyaprakash Tiwari, Dhyan Chand Awardee para-shuttler, as our Chief Guest. He shared his incredible journey, reminding us that true strength lies in never letting disabilities overpower capabilities. His words encouraged parents and children alike to embrace resilience, hope, and determination. The celebration was filled with joy and creativity — tree plantation, tattoos for kids, fancy-dress competition, dance & music performances, cupcake decoration, and greeting card making activities. Families came together to raise awareness, showcase talents, and spread happiness. To make the day even more special, kids went home with goodie bags, carrying smiles and memories beyond the event.
