This year the SRCC CENTRE’S CASE, Citi Academy for Special Education Therapy Department’s children brought “The Jungle Book” to life in the form of a spectacular theatrical play for its Annual day celebration. The production of The Jungle Book was an inspiring example of teamwork. The event was made possible with the unwavering support of the Chairperson, Mrs. Mala Ramadorai and the leadership of the Director of Academics, Ms. Nandita Sirur. Under the creative direction of Ms. Shivani Vakil Sawant and the tireless efforts of the CASE therapists, the performance mesmerized the audience and transported them straight into the heart of the jungle. Every child was given a role designed to let their unique talents shine. From lead characters to ensemble roles, each child had the opportunity to take the spotlight. Therapist and children worked diligently day in and day out, rehearsing dialogues, dances, action scenes, singing performances, and stage movements to truly embrace their characters ensuring that they felt prepared and confident for their performance on Annual Day. Parents also played an integral part through their contribution of time, skills and support which were instrumental in creating the life like jungle props. The trees, shrubs, waterfall, caves, were beautifully crafted to transform the stage into a riveting jungle scene, ready for children to step into the spotlight. The children stole the show with their spirited performances. Not only were the beloved and famous characters like Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, Sher Khan, Kaa and King Louie appreciated, but every role, from flowers to butterflies, bees, and monkeys, was mesmerizing. Each child brought their character to life with such charm and energy that the audience couldn’t help but be enchanted. The Annual Day was not merely a performance but a true celebration of what CASE stands for, unleashing the boundless potential of all 74 children. Chief Guests Mr. Harish Mehta and Natasha Mehta, the audience, parents and therapists watched the children take the stage with confidence and joy, embracing their roles with passion and enthusiasm.
