On the eve of World Cerebral Palsy Day to be celebrated on 6th October every year, SRCC celebrated the “Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day” on 8th October, 2022 with an aim to bring the children diagnosed with cerebral palsy and their families together. The designated areas at the Centre and the hospital foyer were beautifully decorated with white and green balloons. The children diagnosed with cerebral palsy along with their parents/ care-givers and staff wholeheartedly participated in the celebration. An Art Activity was organized for these children. Thereafter, a panel discussion was held wherein useful information on how to nurture a Cerebral Palsy child, nutrition and dental care was shared by the panellists. The representatives of Nayi Disha were stationed at SRCC Children’s Hospital to provide information, peer-support and hope to families affected by disabilities. The celebration concluded with an amazing musical performance where the participants were given an opportunity to sing songs along with the musician. The participants enjoyed the live music performance. A bag containing tiffin box and napkin, sponsored by a kind donor was gifted to the children. Snack boxes were distributed on their way out.
