CHILDREN’S DAY 2021

Children’s Day – 14 November, a special day to celebrate to increase awareness about the rights, education and welfare of children. Keeping the same spirit SRCC Centre for Child Development celebrated Children’s Day with pomp and gaiety in honor of children at the hospital on Saturday, the 13th November, 2021 and Monday, the 15th November, 2021. The children with their parents and treating therapists at the Centre enthusiastically participated in this celebration.

The play area at the SRCC Children’s Hospital and the Centre for Child Development was decorated with balloons to create a children friendly atmosphere. There was a tattoo counter wherein the artist drew colorful cartoons of the children’s choice. The Magic show, Bubble show, Juggling show and Balloon Sculptors were the highlights of the day.  Children enjoyed various magics shown by the magician whereby each magic was a surprise to them. The Mascots dancing and amusing the children in the play area were a special attraction to the kids. The kids were eager to have their picture clicked with the Micky Mouse & Chota Bheem.  This was felt by the amount of uncontrollable laughter expressed by each child. The joyous atmosphere along with the cheering music in the background made the afternoon cheerful. Drawing books, crayons along with art kits sponsored by a kind donor were gifted to the children in memory of the Children’s Day Celebration.

The Children at the Centre were provided with a Nehru Cap decorated by themselves, which each child wore to mark the birthday of our First Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the founder of the Children’s Day. The staff of CASE and Rehabilitation departments encouraged the children to draw sketches and paint the art sheets which were provided to them. Due to the prevailing pandemic, there were limitations however, the children had a great time and left for home with fond memories and their favourite chocolates.

On 15th November, 2021 an Online Children’s Day was organized by the Centre’s CASE Special Education Therapy Department wherein mesmerizing songs were sung by the children. They participated in Glass candle stand decoration and Tote bags painting activities. A Puppet show recording was shown which was anchored by Master Garv and Master Zayan, (SSC Grade Boys). The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Palak and Ms. Insiyya, (SSC Grade Girls)..
