EMPLOYEE MENTAL WELLBEING – WORKSHOP

Date: March 27th, 2026
Venue: Auditorium, SRCC Centre for Child Development.

A mental wellbeing workshop titled “Compassion Fatigue: Understanding the Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Neurobiological Cost of Caring” was organized for SRCC’s employees.
At SRCC, the employees work closely with children with special needs in environments that are both emotionally demanding and systemically complex. Their roles require them to sensitively navigate parental expectations, hope, and grief, while managing high workloads with often limited resources. Clinicians also serve as a crucial bridge between medical consultants, families, and organizational systems—frequently engaging with emotionally intense situations.
Recognizing that such sustained demands can lead to compassion fatigue, SRCC remains deeply committed to supporting the wellbeing, growth, and resilience of its staff. This workshop was conducted to provide meaningful tools and space for reflection.
The session was facilitated by the team from Mindset Wellness and Healing Centre—Ms. Miranda Deonarain and Dr. Rachna Shah—whose expertise and engaging approach fostered a safe, open, and reflective learning environment.
The workshop was highly appreciated by participants for its practical and experiential nature. It offered valuable insights into mental health, resilience, and holistic wellbeing, making it both relevant and impactful.
This initiative highlights SRCC’s focus on clinician wellbeing as a foundation for sustained excellence in patient care.
