SRCC Children’s Hospital launched “Audiology Department and Hearing Services” exclusively for children. It is one of the largest setups in Mumbai. The department was inaugurated and sponsored by Mr. Vikram Tannan, Director, Geltec Pvt. Ltd. The department being housed in a scientifically created sound-treated silent environment boasts of modern equipment to recognize, accurately calibrate and document hearing loss in children from birth to 18 years. The department is well equipped with pure tone audiometer, tympanometer, OAE analyzer and hand held ABR equipment and trained professionals. In treatment of ear and hearing disorders, reliable measurement of hearing loss is absolutely essential. With this exclusive facility we hope to benefit a large cross section of society.
