SRCC Centre for Child Development invited a representative from Nayi Disha Resource Centre – an NGO offering holistic support to families in need to provide information, peer-support and hope to families affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities, specially for the parents / care-givers of the children seeking services at the Rehabilitation, Prosthetics & Orthotics & Special Education Therapy departments of the SRCC Centre. The representative stationed at the Centre from August 8, 2022 to August 12, 2022 between 10.00 am & 4.00 pm. Total 82 parents / care-givers were briefed on the advantages of Unique Disability ID Cards, benefits available to disabled patients including travel benefits and various other Government Schemes. The parents / care-givers were guided to apply for seeking the above-mentioned benefits. They found it very convenient to gather this useful information while their children were seeking therapies at the Centre. The representatives of Nayi Disha will be invited henceforth as per requirement
