Inauguration of the Bone Marrow Transplant facility

SRCC Children’s Hospital launched Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Services to contribute for the provision of an exclusive high quality paediatric BMT Centre in Mumbai. Dr. Anjali Tendulkar and Mrs. Annabel and Mr. Anand Mehta had very kindly donated this department in loving memory of Tara. The Hospital will be able to offer the most critical treatment to children suffering from leukaemia and many other cancers as well as non-cancerous conditions such as Aplastic Anaemia, Thalassaemia, certain neurological disorders etc. It was inaugurated by legendary cricket player and India’s Highest Civilian Award recipient Mr. Sachin Tendulkar and Dr (Mrs) Anjali Tendulkar. Their presence helped create awareness about how India needs more BMT donors to save the lives of lakhs of children.

Launch of BMT Donor support group

SRCC Children’s Hospital, managed by Narayana Health launched a “Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Donor Support Group”. It was inaugurated by Mrs. Suman & Mr. Ramesh Tulsiani. Promising a long time support, the “Suman & Ramesh Tulsiani Charitable trust” has committed a donation of Rs. One Lakh per month towards BMT treatment of children from economically weaker sections of the society. The Hospital has taken an initiative to help children live, laugh and grow with the modest contributions from these donors so that our efforts can be multiplied by their support.
