The Vision Therapy Department of SRCC Centre for Child Development successfully conducted a vision screening program for students of Victoria Memorial School for the Blind and Victoria Memorial Learning Centre. The screening identified more than 65 students who would benefit from specialized visual rehabilitation interventions. Based on each student’s individual visual needs, recommendations included low vision devices to enhance reading and improve access to educational materials, as well as customized vision therapy to strengthen functional vision and visual skills. This initiative underscored the importance of early identification and timely intervention in maximizing a child’s visual potential, promoting greater independence, and improving educational outcomes.
