A patient was referred to us by Dr Avi Shah from SRCC Children’s hospital. He was suffering from PFFD (Proximal femoral focal deficiency). After undergoing right ilio-femoral fusion and rotationality and distal mediolateral epiphysiodesis surgery on 1st April 2024, patient was referred to us for ortho-prosthesis fitting. At SRCC we developed a non-dynamic knee and feet design, suitable to provide patient with better stability and control to secure him with a good prognosis where he could walk in the distant future. We made sure that his milestone development would not be compromised and counselled his parents on long-term plans. Our goal was also to provide him with a functional ‘knee’ which can prove him beneficial in later stages of his life when he would start using prosthesis on permanent basis.
